Every month, I get so many thoughtful questions over on Instagram — about current projects, materials I’m using, design choices, and everyday life. I love seeing what you’re curious about, so I’m rounding everything up here in one easy place!
Let’s jump into your April questions!

Wallpaper
Q: Is traditional wallpaper harder to remove than peel & stick?
Yes — but it really depends on the paste you use. With newer, removable wallpaper pastes, traditional wallpaper is much easier to take down than it used to be. In my opinion, it’s actually more forgiving during install and gives a higher-end finish compared to peel & stick.
Q: Favorite wallpaper brands?
I get this one a lot! Some of my go-to brands are Wallblush, Lulu & Georgia, and Sandberg — but there are honestly so many great options out there depending on your style and budget.
Q: Do you have wallpaper tips?
Yes! I put together a full blog post with all my best tips and what I’ve learned along the way. I also have a YouTube tutorial.
Q: What wallpaper paste do you use?
I’ve been using this one from Amazon. It makes a big difference in both application and removal.

Paint & Color
Q: What color is the pink ceiling?
It’s Ella Rose by Magnolia — such a soft, pretty pink.
Q: Why don’t paint samples match the final color?
Paint samples are often made with a different base than the full-size paint, which can slightly change how the color looks. Lighting and surrounding finishes can also make a big difference.
Q: What paint sheens do you recommend?
This is definitely personal preference, but here’s what I typically use:
- Walls: matte or eggshell
- Trim + cabinets: satin
- Ceilings: flat
- Wood treatments: satin

Home Details & Materials
Q: What color is your front door + where is the wreath from?
The front door is painted Tricorn Black in a satin Weathersheild finish from Lowe’s. And my wreath is from McGee & Co.
Q: Neck massager link?
I’ve been using this neck massager from Hizoo recently — it’s been so nice for tension relief.
Q: Living room rug + couch details?
The rug is from Amazon, and for couches, I have the Beale from Arhaus and the Brynn from World Market.
Q: How did you make your microwave look built-in?
I shared more details in the blog, but the short version: I built a simple frame using 1×3 boards, added trim for detail, painted both the frame and the microwave, and attached everything using Command picture hanging strips. It’s a simple trick that makes a big visual impact.
Q: Color match + paint formula for the island?

Q: Where did you get your pendant lights in your kitchen?
They’re from Amazon. They completely elevate the space!
Q: What did you use to seal the green tables in your girls’ bedroom?
I used Rust-Oleum Clear Enamel Spray to protect the finish.
Style & Wellness
Q: Alo pants link?
These are still a favorite — super comfortable and easy to dress up or down.

Q: Healthy hair tips or supplements?
I’ve been focusing on a few things lately:
- Adding more omega-3 rich foods into my diet
- Supplementing iron (my ferritin levels were very low, which can affect hair growth)
- Taking Nutrafol
- Recently added Glow by Beam
Q: What do you use for pizza dough?
I use King Arthur’s gluten-free pizza flour — it’s so easy and turns out really good every time.
Q: BRNG Bag details?
Recently, I shared a post that featured some super cute reusable bags with fun patterns, and so many of you asked about them! They’re from BRNG.
