When it comes to renovations, I usually try to keep and upgrade what I can to save time and money. But there is one thing I always replace… fixtures!
Why? Because the right fixtures in a space can make all the difference when it comes to design. It can take your space from dated to daydream. It can help define the style you’re going for in the room.
Fixtures make a huge difference!
In fact, fixtures such as faucets, shower and tub trim, towel rings and bars, hooks, and even toilet paper holders (things you wouldn’t necessarily think to change) make a huge difference if they’re in a sleek and modern design.
That’s why when I chose to renovate my girls’ bathroom, I immediately trusted Pfister Faucets and their sleek and modern Zeelan Collection to do the trick!

THE PFISTER FAUCETS COLLECTION THAT HELPED TO TRANSFORM MY BATHROOM MAKEOVER
I knew that since this was a girly bathroom that I needed to use minimalist, matte black fixtures to help tone things down and add a little modern touch to the design.
ZEELAN SINGLE CONTROL FAUCETS
When I saw the Pfister Faucets Zeelan Single Control Bathroom Faucets, I knew they would be absolutely perfect in the space. Especially since I decided to add farmhouse sinks as well!
They were simple to install and immediately up-leveled the bathroom project in a big way!
Here’s what the bathroom looked like before…

The faucets were just fine! But they weren’t standing out and bringing the bathroom to life by any means.
Here’s what the Zeelan Faucets added to the space…

Perfection! Now they stand out and make a statement while still remaining minimal, modern, and gorgeous! The matte black is spot resistant, so water spots aren’t a worry with these. And they work like a dream (and look like a dream too!).
ZEELAN TUB & SHOWER TRIM
But it wouldn’t be a true room makeover if the tub and shower trim didn’t get a little makeover to match! This is something many people are fearful of changing out because of the unknowns that come with plumbing.
Do your research first of course to see if what you order will be compatible with your current setup or call a plumber if you have to!
We had a standard shower and tub insert in this bathroom. Which was fine, worked great, but wasn’t super pleasing to look at. I didn’t want to rip it out completely, so I decided to create a cover for it!
For the full blog post on how I did it, head here!
I used PVC boards to build a tub surround that looked custom to the bathroom and finished it off with a faux transom look up top that hid the curtain rod. It made a night and day difference.
But to take that new ‘custom’ look up a notch, I needed to replace our old shower and tub trim with the Zeelan Tub & Shower Trim from Pfister Faucets! Of course I needed it all to match, right?
But not just that. Having beautiful, simple, matte black fixtures against the white bathtub surround along with the faucets would create balance and a cohesive look in the space. It would pull everything together.
See what I mean?

I didn’t need to go over the top and rip out the tub surround, I just needed to give it a facelift with some boards and brand new fixtures!
Now it looks just right!
TO WRAP IT UP
Changing out your fixtures is a must to elevate any space from builder grade to custom! And choosing the right fixtures (and the right brand) can make all the difference in how the space actually comes together and lasts over time!
I couldn’t be more pleased with how these Pfister Faucets fixtures pulled my entire space together! And I’ve got to know which update was your favorite. The vanity with the new faucets? Or the tub makeover with the new trim? Let me know in the comments!
It’s so pretty. I’m curious about the wallpaper
